Chris Hausman, EIRO Research CEO, explains his reasons for integrating the direct selling industry with Eiro. He further discusses his vision for associates choosing to build their own business from home.

— — —

“Let’s face it- many of us are working at jobs that don’t give us complete lives; jobs where we are constantly trying to find the balance between time and money. Traditionally, jobs that pay us enough to live comfortable lives deprive us of the precious time we need to spend with our familes, and leave us with little or no time to do the many things we’ve dreamed of doing our entire lives.

So what’s the answer? For Eiro Research, it’s the global $100 Billion direct selling industry. This is an industry where anyone can improve the quality of his or her life while working either part-time or full-time. It’s a personal choice. For me, the choice to bring Eiro products to the world through this distribution channel was clear. The direct selling industry allows Eiro to help make people whole financially as well as physically.

Eiro Research values a balance between work and family, so we offer our associates the opportunity to work from the convenience of home without limiting their income potential. The flexible work schedule of direct selling allows associates to spend quality time with their families while providing them with the ability to earn a steady, recession resistant stream of income.

In today’s uncertain economic climate, direct selling can offer a financial stability that many other jobs cannot. Starting your own business can allow you to support yourself and your family while maintaining the flexibility to live your life to the fullest.

I tend to follow the keyword trends of Eiro Research related searches in the major search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Many people look to the internet to determine whether or not that “great opportunity” they just heard about from a friend is scam or illegal pyramid scheme of some sort.

After checking the popular search results today, sure enough, the current 2nd most popular pair with “Eiro Research” was “pyramid.” Naturally, as with any Multi-Level marketing (MLM) company, people want to know the real deal about the company. No one has started any improper Eiro Research pyramid scheme alerts yet, but clearly some one out there is interested in understanding the difference because it shows up as heavy volume in Google.

Pyramid Schemes have been and still remain a threat to all direct and internet related business. Various scams have created mountains of skepticism in the MLM field. So, what separates these so-called “pyramid schemes” from legal, ethical MLM opportunities? Let’s look at the #1 common misconception:

Programs and companies that involve recruiting people to earn money are illegal pyramid schemes!

This belief is very common, but it is absolutely 100% false. Many people look at MLM compensation plans and think just because it involves a matrix payplan or shows some form of stacked sponsorship levels resembling a slight pyramid shape that the opportunity must be a scam. This is not necessarily true, and the difference is very important to understand.

The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) requires a legal Multi-Level Marketing business to pay commissions based off of products sales. Simply paying people rewards for the sole act of recruiting is an illegal action. Let’s look at an example…

At Eiro Research, when an Eiro distributor or “active member” recruits another individual to join Eiro and create an account, he receives absolutely nothing. That’s right- the distributor receives NOTHING for the act of recruiting itself.  However, once the new referred member buys a product or sets an auto-ship, the distributor receives a percentage of that sale as a commission.

Monetary rewards can only be offered to distributors once real, legitimate products of value are sold. This concept really isn’t too different from your local doctor or dentist offering you $25 – $50 for referring your friends to his/her office, or from review / auction sites earning an affiliate commission whenever you purchase merchandise online.

Earning commissions for referring consumers to a business is perfectly legal and ethical since it helps all three parties: The consumer receives a useful product, the business gains customers, and the distributor or “affiliate” earns a reward.

Concerning business opportunities in the form of MLM, many people look at word “recruiting” in a shady or negative light. If prospecting is done professionally and ethically, there is no need to associate the act of recruiting in this way. Recruiting is the highest act of selling, because not only is the MLM distributor trying to sell a product or service; he is also taking on the role of leader, requiring him to help teach his “recruit” how to achieve the same results and develop a profitable business. Sincere, professional “recruiters” look at their new team members as more than just an opportunity to pocket a few extra dollars.

— — —

WARNINGS to look for when differentiating “Legal” from “Pyramid”

When trying to identify legitimate MLM companies over pyramid schemes, there are many aspects that may look solid, but are cleverly masked to (1.) appear legal when they are not, and/or (2.) unethically benefit the owners or “top-level” earners of the company at the expense of the members and distributors.

1. The MLM company must sell unique, beneficial products or services

Remember if a products or services are absent from a compensation plan, the company is operating an illegal pyramid scheme. However, many programs attempt to resemble legitimate MLMs by involving cheap, insignificant, or useless products / services. Others place no emphasis on the products and only talk about “recruiting” and “making money.” Both of these signs should serve as red flags as you complete your own due diligence on a company!

Usually these two signs go hand in hand with each other; i.e. the MLM leaders and top-level distributors never bother discussing the value of the products and services because they are essentially worthless. The following test usually helps determine the ethical representation and use of the MLM product / service: If the business opportunity and referral incentives did not exist, would people still be interested in purchasing the products or services?

2. MLM payplans must give each new distributor the opportunity to earn the same rewards for his/her own hard work and efforts

This qualification can be very difficult to research, especially when the company involves several top-level earners and multiple bonuses. Generally, a simple matrix provides equal opportunity for each new member. However, some MLM companies actually encourage stacking and positioning in order to benefit the leaders and top-level earners at the expense of commissions and bonuses that could have been passed on to the newer members and average distributors. Some programs retain the bulk of payout level bonuses and commissions for only the highest members, while passing out measly percentages to the average member.

Take note that bonus checks awarded to distributors for achieving a certain level of success is not necessarily a red flag; in fact, most programs have this sort of reward program to some extent. However, if you start to notice after a while that your hard work and successful team building efforts result in a curiously low, trifling reward, you may want to start carefully researching where all the money is really going. Certain MLM companies have been proven to “stack the cards against you,” so pay very close attention to every check and bonus you receive.

— — —

To some communities, MLM has an overall negative connotation, because:
#1. Many unethical and/or illegal companies have taken advantage of their members and these furious victims have spread the word high to the hills for the past 50 years.
#2. Many people are drawn in to MLM companies by hype and/or their own unrealistic expectations, expect an easy, essentially “get-rich-quick” deal, fail to work and build a strong business, and then quickly assume it was the “fault” of the business.

Don’t be deceived. Not all “pyramid-shaped” business operations are evil schemes destined to suck away your savings. Eiro Research is fairly new health product based company that fits the legal MLM mold. We will cover an in-depth explanation as to how Eiro complies with the requirements of a respectable, ethical business model in the “Eiro Research Pyramid Scheme Scare” PART II, coming soon! :D

There was a period of time in my life in which I’d immediately go to my nearest convenience store and pick up the most appealing “energy drink” or “energy shot” anytime I felt that I hadn’t enjoyed enough sleep or just needed a little extra kick to get moving in the morning.

I’d always be quick to gulp the sludge down and hope it would do it’s job as promised by the clever words on the outside of the can or bottle. Of course, most people assume that energy drinks and shots aren’t “healthy,” due to the high sugar content. However, I think all of us subconsciously ask another question: “What else does this ‘magic energy formula’ contain?” A more direct question may include: What exactly am I putting into my body?

A major scare in the energy drink community originated from the product “Red Bull Cola.” Various states in Germany ran tests on the Red Bull Cola product and found trace amounts of coca leaf extracts. The headlines read “Cocaine found in Red Bull,” and the product was immediately banned from Germany.  Although Germany requires the beverage to be classified as a narcotic under these conditions, Red Bull insists that its own tests showed absolutely no traces of Cocaine. Furthermore, they state that coca leaf extracts were a very common flavoring ingredient used by many different nations.

I think most people will look at this situation and essentially say, “Well, sounds like people were making too big a deal of all this. This doesn’t really sound all that dangerous.” They may indeed be right in comparison to other products. However, the company Red Bull did slip another interesting slice of “defense” into their argument that really didn’t settle too well with me:
If you start examining lots of other drinks and food so carefully, you’d find a lot of surprising things!”

Was that actually supposed to alleviate the situation? That statement just makes me think back to the original question: “What exactly are we putting in our bodies anyway when we consume these energy products?” Depending on just how “surprising” these “things” are, maybe we don’t want to know anyway.

After my brief period of carelessly pumping energy drinks down my throat, I’ve had to carefully watch my sugar intake and other miscellaneous ingredients and supplements that can weaken the body’s digestive tract. You’d certainly be surprised how many of these so-called “energy drinks” will actually only wear you out in the long-run.

For now, I’m sticking with this:

Eiro Energy may not necessarily pack the same punch that a 24 oz can of Monster can offer you, but it does offer energy without the expense of loading up the body with garbage. Not to mention, the Eiro Energy formula actually consists of vitamins and Antioxidants that the body requires.

I can’t say I’m missing Red Bull all that much these days. I never enjoyed the flavor, and aside from the rare enjoyment of a random “Red Bull & Vodka” mixed drink, I don’t bother with the stuff. For those that are major fans of Monster, Red Bull, or any other popular energy drink product line (there are quite a few these days), I would urge you to be careful. Don’t suck the stuff down like it’s water on a hot, summer day. You probably won’t like the long-term results.

Many people do not enjoy the “ideal experience” with Multi-level Marketing during their first venture.  The bottom line is that many people fail the first time around, whether it’s related to unappreciated or overpriced products, poor training, greedy management, a personal lack of energy and motivation, or a combination of these elements. However, some individuals frustrated with previous Multi-level Marketing (MLM) experiences believe in creating a system designed to reward each team member equally.

I was reading a proposal the other day from a critic of the current popular MLM compensation plans and pay structures. His dream was to create a MLM system with competitive services that would not favor any star distributors or company leaders. Instead, the company would weigh the sales and commission volumes generated by the entire organization on a monthly basis and then distribute checks with an equal reward for all members. Referring to his proposal as a socialism system for MLM, he essentially argued: “Why hasn’t anyone attempted to combine socialism and MLM? It’s time for the average network marketer to share in the big pool profits!”

I’ve been around the MLM block and studied the industry for 5 years, and I have to admit this is the first time I’ve actually seen the concepts of socialism and MLM addressed in this fashion. I don’t really have any intentions to engage in a broad debate of the traditional economic systems, socialism vs capitalism; however, I would like to carefully examine the consequences from the proposal.

Good leaders and bad leaders

Without any intentions to offend the author of the “socialism and MLM” prosposal, I would highly question his understanding of the basic principles of MLM. Companies choose to adopt MLM distributor and compensation plans to encourage the membership growth and geographic expansion of their product lines and services without being forced to rely on expensive advertising and promotion. Essentially, the distributors in a MLM company attract customers and additional distributors, bringing sales to the company, and are then rewarded for their hard work.

With various MLM companies, training systems and “leadership” mentalities, it is true that some people “at the top” of certain companies can be rather reckless and take advantage of their entire team. It’s unfortunate, but it does happen. Therefore, I can understand why an individual who has fallen victim to leadership abuse within an MLM organization may think – “Why should the people with the largest teams make the most money? Why can’t the company share the profits of all distributors?”

The answer: Because responsible, ethical MLM company and team leaders have worked hard and diligently to achieve their position and compensation level within the company.

There are indeed some bad apples in the industry, and all prospects should be extremely careful to avoid such people and their systems. MLM is designed to reward responsible business builders; therefore, you don’t want to take part in a system that rewards acts of deception and greed practiced by leaders or “kingpins” at the top of the company.

This is a very important warning that seems to elude thousands of marketers! I continue to watch many people support leaders within teams and training systems that consistently use their entire organization to gain additional profits at the expense of team members. Some of these people will suck money from their team’s pockets any chance they get. It may sound dark and twisted, but it is very real. You don’t need to “spread the profits” to solve this problem; rather, you simply need to avoid these bad, greedy and/or irresponsible leaders.

If we all “share,” then eventually we could all lose

Let’s take a closer look at the “socialism and MLM” proposal and assume we’re dealing with a strong MLM company, led by a professional, responsible leadership team. Under a typical MLM system, let’s say Person A has served as a dedicated builder within the team and regularly spends 12-15 hours a week building his business. Person A has built a team of 100 people and offered them free training materials month by month, week by week. He earns $3,000 a month.

Person B spends 5-6 hours per week developing his business. He has a small team and earns about $500 per month as a result. Person C doesn’t really take the business very seriously. He may spend 3 hours building his business one week, but then completely forget about it the next. He has no consistency and has only been able to recruit a couple people, earning him a measly commission well under $100 per month.

Now we’ll throw in the so-called socialism vs standard MLM rewards twist! Let’s say Person A, B, and C continue to put in the same amount of work, but the company releases a notice saying: “As of this month, all company builders will receive an equal proportion of the company’s total commission volume generated.” What happens?

Since most MLM companies tend to have more “Person C” type members over A and B types, the “average commission” will be significantly reduced. Let’s say the next month comes around, and the commissions are divided up evenly. Person C receives a check for $220 and says- “Wow! This new system tripled my previous check!” Person B receives a check for $220, sighs to himself and says- “I worked hard for my passive income levels and now my check has been cut in half.” To his amazement, Person A also receives a check for $220 and stammers- “I can’t believe this! I spent 70 hours this month building articles and content, training 8 new members, and doing 3-ways to help my team members build their personal organization all for a loss of $2,780?!”

Why do Person C types, including lazy builders and tire kickers, deserve the same amount of compensation as Person A types, who spend hours each week 1.) bringing additional sales to the MLM company and 2.) helping their team build their personal businesses? The answer is they DON’T! The very key principle of standard MLM systems rewards each individual for personal hard work and results. It allows each individual to build his business at a comfortable pace, while encouraging productivity at the same time. After all, the harder you work and spend time building your business right, the higher your compensation will be.

Within the “socialism and MLM” plan, there is no incentive for Person A type builders to continue working hard to develop their business and encourage company growth. If they are going to earn $220 or so each month whether they work 20 hours a week or 1-3 hours a week like the Person C’s, which option do you think they will choose? Say goodbye to all those dedicated hours spent on training and marketing.

Eventually all Person A’s and B’s are going to say- “There’s no point in putting all this time toward bringing new customers and distributors to the company if I’m going to earn the same as all the people sitting on their butts doing little to nothing month after month.” Every member will start to function as a Person C type member, and, soon enough, the company’s rate of monthly growth will dwindle down to zero – zip – nada – nothing! At this point of no growth, there is no longer any sensible reason for the company to continue using any MLM reward structure. Multi-level marketing has been rendered useless.

— — —

The original proposal by the former critic concluded with “Oh, what socialism could do for the MLM industry,” but I’m hoping that people yearning for such a twisted system realize what socialism would destroy within basic MLM structures. No, the current MLM systems probably aren’t perfect. Yes, people will always have to look out for the charlatans and scammers of the industry that hurt their members in order to line their own pockets.

However, an MLM based system involving the equal share of profits between tire kickers and power builders is only a recipe for disaster. Companies must experience positive rates of growth and the distributors must be rewarded for individual hard work for MLM to be a worthwhile proposition. Some organizations and teams have tried “equal sharing” related plans in MLM and suffered the consequences.

Discover what happened within these organizations and their specific payplans in Part II.

Eiro Research sent out a fantastic update about the Eiro Energy Drink today, and I imagine all current Eiro associates who appreciate CV value are doing back-flips of excitement.

The demand for the new energy drink has soared to point at which the company, Eiro, can reduce its overall production costs. In an effort to give their customers and associations a wider margin of options in monthly autoships AND reward current distributors, Eiro has increased the current CV of the standard 12 pack Eiro Energy drink from 17.50 to 30.00!

Therefore, Eiro associates and distributors now have the options of choosing two new combinations of monthly autoships:
- 4 cases (12 drinks = 1 case) of EIRO Energy
- 2 cases of EIRO Super Antioxidant Formula 5 + 2 cases of EIRO Energy

As of April 1, 2008, both of these combinations will give you 120 total CV, which qualifies you as an “active associate” and allows you to earn your monthly commissions. Eiro customers and associates now have more flexibility to mix and match the different products without having to worry about “qualifying” or topping off their points for the month.

What’s the significance of all this? Here are a few of the benefits you can start enjoying:

1. More appeal to your prospects

Simply put, some people are going to love the Eiro Antioxidant formula, while others are going to be more interested in EIRO Energy and finding a way to increase energy without all the “bad stuff” and side effects. Different product lines are going to attract different people.

Now that each distributor has more options available to him through a redesigned, convenient autoship plan, he can appeal to a wider audience. While it’s true that some people may not necessarily be swayed one way or the other by one specific Eiro product, they may be especially pleased to see that Eiro has various products and continues to work on new development. If your prospects don’t specify a special interest in one product over the other, make sure you recommend that they purchase one of the new hybrid packs, giving them 2 bottles of the Eiro Formula 5 and 2 packs of the Eiro Energy drink.

2. More rewards for current associates

An increase in CV means an increase in commission for Eiro associates! If you already have customers or team members below you that are consistently purchasing the Eiro Energy drink products, congratulations – your UV (uni-level volume) just increased by approximately 70%. This will help you rise up to major distributor ranks much faster. Here’s a quick example to illustrate the changes:

Let’s say you and your team currently have a UV (Uni-level volume) total of 2,800, qualifying you as an Executive within the Eiro payplan. Let’s also say that your entire organization ordered about 20 cases of the Eiro Energy drink each month. Now that the volume has increased from 17.50 to 30.00, you earn an extra 12.50 volume from each of your 20 team members, totaling an overall increase of 250 volume. This extra 250 volume, added to your former UV total of 2,800, amounts to 3,050. Assuming proper team placement, you have just qualified for Senior Executive and a $1,000 bonus!

3. More convenient / Cheaper sampling costs

If you’ve wanted to chance to test the Eiro energy drink while maintaining your current autoship price, you don’t have to worry about it anymore. You can spend the same $140.00 on the energy drink and still qualify for commissions.

If you don’t necessarily need 48 cans of the Eiro energy drink every single month, this gives you a great opportunity to sample out 20-30 cans of the product to people on a monthly basis. You’ll notice you can do this without even altering your monthly product expenses! As mentioned in previous articles on this Eiro Research Info blog, the simple act of sampling is a great way to influence prospects and random encounters to further investigate the Eiro company and product line. This will help build your customer and business team levels.

— — —

Just some final words about this new decision to lower the CV…

I honestly didn’t think we would see a major Eiro CV reduction in the energy drink for a while. Depending on the freshly sparked interest and excitement levels, this is, quite possibly, one of the most intelligent decisions the company could have made. Other MLM companies market energy drink products that would require an order of $200 – 300 per month just to qualify for commissions.

With additional stress on the benefits of both products, Eiro Research may be the first MLM company to shine as “not just another ‘miracle juice’ company.” This will give Eiro a competitive advantage that could quickly shift the enthusiasm and spotlight from other MLM companies to Eiro Research.

Smart move (in my opinion), what else can I say? :D

During the first weekend of March 2009, marking the first major Eiro convention, many Eiro associates were excited to learn about the new branding for the current Super Antioxidant Formula 5 and the new product line, Eiro energy drinks.

The testing period requiring the scientific beaker look for the Super antioxidant formula was over and a new design would permanently replace the “lab experiment” look. The Eiro Energy design would follow a similar suit, taking on the properties of Eiro logos and color schemes. After Eiro released it’s second unique product line, Eiro energy drinks, the company decided to create a special branding video to display the new designs that would soon cover all future products.

This product video certainly does a good job at showing all angles of the new design. People tend to recognize a specific brand by the nature of it’s overall look and feel, and this video definitely gives the new design some extra exposure. The product display is also accompanied by some calm, refreshing music. You can watch it for yourself right here, courtesy of Eiro Founding Partner, Ty Tribble:

I wouldn’t expect to see these representations as commercials in between the 6 o’ clock news just yet; however, the name and product brand is starting to spread. Don’t be surprised if you start to see similar promotional materials displayed on non-internet related advertisements.

Eiro Research just sent an e-mail update to current associates and preferred customers. The message contained an exciting reminder about the major bonuses being offered to all Eiro associates who plan to tackle the $5,000 Senior Executive Rank Promotion challenge.

I know many people, including myself, who could definitely use a bonus $5,000 in extra income by the end of 2009. And even if a Senior Executive achiever doesn’t necessarily need the $5,000 as a direct result of the poor economy or other current hardships, he or she can find powerful uses for this bonus award to use toward marketing promotion and future monthly profits.

What can you do with an extra $5,000? Here are a couple options…

1.  Improve your current “debt” situation

Perhaps you need to pay some old credit card bills, or scrape up a few extra dollars for that mortgage payment. $5,000 can come in handy when every penny counts.

Many people could be looking at the Eiro business opportunity right now and think- “I’d really like to be a part of something like this, but extra money is just so hard to come by these days, and I’m not sure I can do this.” Indeed you do ultimately need 20-25 people on your team to qualify for the $5,000 advancement bonus, but I honestly don’t believe that people give themselves enough credit when considering these situations. Too many people are afraid of their own “failure,” and immediately assume they don’t possess the abilities to build a team.

I’ve seen teams of several hundred people built by one single leader in period of 2-3 months, all by using simple “word of mouth” promotions. That’s right- SIMPLE promotions that don’t even involve advanced, effective New Age marketing training. The Eiro Research company and team organizations provide daily opportunity calls, free training for internet and direct marketing, and an information / splash page directed website. Even if you choose to do nothing more but use “word of mouth” to build your organization, Eiro Research and our free team training system gives you an arsenal of perks and advantages to enable you to jump-start your organization in a matter of days.

Keep in mind- you don’t need an organization of “several hundreds of people.” You simply need to find 5 people that are as serious about earning $5,000 as you are. Then you need to train and assist them in doing the same. That’s all there is to the very foundation of your Eiro organization. The key is to remember that you’re not alone. You’ll have mentors to help you find your 5 people, and then your specific team with slowly begin to enjoy the “exponential effect,” provided that only some of the people you bring to your team are willing to follow through with the steps necessary to build a “Senior Executive” level business.

In case you’re reading this right now and you think achieving the rank of Senior Executive within Eiro by August 31st is a small step below “impossible,” don’t be so quick to let the fear of failure turn you away. It can be done, as long as you’re willing to put in the time to learn and apply.

2.  Fuel your marketing campaigns to build a massive network!

If you don’t urgently need $5,000 to pay off bills that continue to taunt you by lingering on your desktop, you should consider using a portion of your bonus money to further your marketing campaigns with Eiro.

First, let’s clear one thing up – Once you receive your bonus, you should use some of the money to pay YOURSELF. If you don’t have debts to pay, use some of the money for a family vacation, a few fancy dinners, or maybe even a couple nights out on the town. When you achieve a level of success and receive a reward for hard work, you should celebrate! Don’t burn yourself out and use every nickle of your $5,000 bonus for business purposes. Take some time to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Then, consider taking a portion of your bonus and investing back into your team and business using one or several of the many marketing techniques that are taught within our special Eiro network. With a 4 figure budget for marketing campaigns, you can create several combinations of marketing systems that all compliment one another and significantly increase your overall marketing power. You can combine offline promotions with internet marketing, websites with blogs, specialized business cards (or pamphlets) with unique splash pages, or even all of them if you have the desire and available time.

Investing back into your business is the fastest way to increase the exponential growth effect. It’s also the fastest way to raise your Eiro rank from Senior Executive to Director, and then to Senior Director, and then beyond – all the way to Vice President rankings. Once your ranking passes into “Director” ranking levels, you can look forward to permanent 4-figure monthly paychecks. Your one time bonus can serve as a catalyst for developing a business that pays you even more on a consistent, monthly basis.

With that said, don’t delude yourself into thinking these ranks can be achieved overnight. It takes time and effort to qualify for these levels. However, a persistent attitude and team spirit is all you need. Have the guts to put your marketing training into action and you’ll find yourself starting at checks with “big numbers” written in the right-hand corner.

- Mr. Ryz

RyzEiro@yahoo.com

www.MrRyzMarketing.com

I read about a very simple concept of “sampling” for marketing campaigns the other day, and realized that it could be used among EIRO Research business associates to gain more customers and business team members.

The theory behind this “sample marketing” concept essentially states that if you can purchase or produce a certain quantity of products for a relatively low price, you should be able to sample out that quantity to specific people and interest a small percentage to purchase additional units of that product in the future. If done correctly, the amount of product purchased in the future will significantly outweigh the amount you spent on sampling out the free products.

Taking a simple version of the sample marketing strategy, let’s say you could find 5 people that were sincerely interested in a certain Product X selling for $100. You tell them- “Here, I’d like you to have the opportunity to try a free sample. Please let me know what you think.” Let’s say the samples cost you $20 a piece. By sampling out the products, if only 1 person out of the 5 becomes interested in purchasing the full Product X for $100, you’ve already broke even! Depending on the nature of the so-called Product X, you may create a repeat customer and find out that your simple $100 campaign resulted in a long-term of profit of $1,000 or more.

And here’s the application to all this…

You can use Sample Marketing with your EIRO Research Business!

I would predict that the EIRO Energy drink would be the most useful product for sample marketing within any EIRO Research campaigns. Why? Because people are usually only compelled to buy more food and drink type products if 1.) they fall in love with the taste, or 2.) they gain something / notice a positive improvement.

In this case, either 1 or 2 may apply. Some people may absolutely love the fruit blend taste associated with Eiro Energy. Others may drink a can and say – “Wow, I am noticing an increase in energy. I can’t believe this is actually a healthy source of instant energy, unlike the similar formulas and caffeine loaders.” And if you can convince one of your lucky “samplers” of either #1 or 2, you’ve probably added a customer or team member to your EIRO business.

Setting up the EIRO Energy drink “Sample Campaign:” Let’s look at the numbers…

The Eiro Energy drinks are sold in packs of 12 for $35.00 to preferred customers and associates. Divide this up and you’ll find that each can will cost you exactly $2.92. However, let’s round that up to $3.00, just to make things a little easier to examine.

Now, let’s say you hand out 12 cans to 12 random people, telling them- “I’m giving you a free sample of a unique energy drink product created by a new health company, EIRO Research. The product is designed to raise your energy levels without the set-backs, such as unhealthy strain on your heart OR future energy crashes from massive amounts of sugar content. I’d just like to get your honest feedback about this product, and if you like it, I can help you obtain it for retail price!” Make sure you also hand the person a business card or information slip with your website and contact details listed.

Let’s say only 2 people like the EIRO energy drink enough to consider purchasing it in the future. They both sign up as preferred customers and starting buying 2 cases per month. That adds $20.00 and 60 CV (counted toward your achievement levels) per month toward your business profits. Since EIRO is still a very new company and is currently sparking interest around the nation, it’s certainly likely that people who enjoy the Eiro energy drink will also be interested in more information about the Eiro company in general, and ultimately, the key product- The Eiro Super Antioxidant Formula.

Let’s say one out of this 12 people included in your sample marketing campaign becomes very interested in the company and the product / business explanation websites you gave him. If the business opportunity makes sense to him and he signs up as an Eiro Associate for the standard order (and this is assuming no builder upgrades, leader upgrades, etc.), you will earn $31.25 in fast-start bonuses for 2 months, totaling $62.50. Plus, you now have another team member and business partner to help grow your organization.

Nothing is officially guaranteed when you create a “sample marketing” campaign.  Therefore, to increase your success percentage when sampling out EIRO energy, try to find people who appear more likely to be interested in energy drinks or health products.  Also, make sure they know that you want to hear their feedback.  If they take a free can, make sure- in fact, make DOUBLE sure they have your contact information, whether it’s on a business card, pamphlet, product booklet, or some other informative source.

As you may have already guessed, many associates have created similar campaigns with the EIRO Antioxidant formula using “EIRO minis.”  People aren’t going to “instantly” notice a difference, like they may with EIRO energy.  However, if they enjoy the taste and are looking for an antioxidant-rich health product, they’ll be inclined to seek additional information.  Just like with the Eiro energy example, you can gain new preferred customers and/or new business associates.

If you create a similar promotion by the month, yes, it does become a bit of a numbers game.  But remember- when you create preferred customers and business associates, you’re looking at potential long-term REPEAT customers, which means repeat commissions and volume for you and your organization.  This is the key.  This is also the reason that a simple action such as “sampling” can prove to be so effective in building your business and monthly profits.

I completed a few rounds of MLM-related forum searching and posting today.  It never hurts to read up on new industry news and offer your advice and opinions from time to time.

I came across a topic focusing on the debate of MLM leadership training and whether or not it’s fair to continually charge your team members for such services and materials.  Although the action may not necessarily be “unethical,” in most circumstances, I would agree that asking your team members to fork over large amounts of money for the act of simply doing what a responsible upline would do is NOT acceptable.

Our team at Eiro Research does its best to provide free leadership and marketing training to all our members.  There are live business overview calls that you can send all your prospects to almost every night, and many leaders contribute towards weekly marketing strategy and development training calls.  We believe that supplying the resources necessary for our team members to grow their business is the professional method to adopt.

When an individual joins you as a “leader” in network marketing business, you are expected to help them to the best of your abilities and refrain from advising them to take any actions which may cause unnecessary strains on their finances and development.  Since most individuals join MLM companies for the purpose of earning money, a leader or “upline” should be very careful what he asks his team member’s to purchase as “helpful materials.”

I would agree that many training and leadership materials related to the MLM industry are worth the price-tag.  Over the years, I’ve purchased a number of materials that have significantly improved my MLM knowledge and skills.  However, it’s one thing to recommend a special tool or material to your team on occasion; it’s quite another thing to constantly attempt to sell them on “materials of the week” for the sole purpose of hoarding up extra sales profits, affiliate commissions, referral fees, etc.

Here’s the truth about what’s really out there…

The Ancient “training systems”

Many MLM veterans and researchers may recall a Dateline special in 2004 featuring Quixtar that shocked millions of people.  The investigation revealed that some high-level distributors not only make excessive profits from pushing tools and function tickets on their members, but also that the majority of their income may actually come from this “secret side business.”

No, I’m not here to bash Quixtar, since they aren’t the only company with similar “systems” involved.  The company itself does sell useful products and it is currently a legal MLM company in the eyes of the FTC.  It’s also not fair to paint all the “training systems” associated with Quixtar and other similar companies with a broad brush.  However, it is fair and true to warn others that companies such as Quixtar do have specific IBOs (Independent Business Owners) or distributors that heavily rely on income from their “tools business” to live the kind of life they portray in their promotional materials.

Personally, I think there is some wrong being done to distributors within such “training systems.”  A seminar presenter will preach about the “power of owning your own business,” and “the power to work from home.”  Then he will end by asking you to buy more $6 tapes or CD thats could have actually been reproduced in a downloadable, internet format, therefore allowing all members to access it for FREE.  Members are forced to attend and pay for rallies and various meetings if they want any kind of leadership training or motivation, when the so-called “kingpins” or high-level leaders could have hosted a FREE teleconference or webinar allowing others to “meet together as a team” from the comfort of their own home?

Beware of the ancient “training systems.”  I acknowledge that some of them are far more ethical and reasonable than others, but realize that “tools businesses” are primarily designed for one sole purpose:  Extra income toward the pockets of the “top guns.”  If these “leaders” cared about helping their members achieve by earning profits, they’d incorporate Information Age technology into their supplied materials to help all members save on these unnecessary business expenses.

Affiliate Pushers

Turing the corner and looking at this topic from the world of online marketing, you may have noticed that specific authors, leaders, and MLM “mentors” are creating internet business related materials that have drawn quite a crowd.  Some of these materials are definitely worth the pretty pennies you’ll pay for the information, but sometimes you can be led to buy far more than necessary.

Some so-called internet marketing “leaders” in MLM companies don’t even bother to teach a thing.  Instead, they simply refer their entire team to the new “lastest and greatest” ebook or random internet material of the week.  Why?  Because each time they convince one of their team members to purchase a copy of the promoted materials (through a referral link), the leaders receive a commission ranging anywhere from $5 – $100!

It doesn’t take an “expert” or a “leader” to throw out referral links to new products every week.  If these leaders really wanted to focus on strengthening the team instead of draining their wallets, they’d summarize important key concepts of the materials that they already studied.  They would create articles, videos, and maybe even hold regular training calls to help personally teach their team without forcing them into the red.

High-Ticket Training

Occasionally, I’ll notice a marketing “leader” that attempts to hype up and push a high priced training materials or course on his entire team.  These “high-ticket” items can cost several hundreds of dollars.  Most of the time when the team members feel compelled to purchase the item, regardless of the price-tag, they find that the course provided some helpful information but could have easily been explained in a summarized format by the “leader.”

Why does the “leader” push the expensive course?  Once again, because a juicy commission awaits him/her.  In some instances, all team members who purchased the high-ticket training may even be pressured into selling the same thing to others.  Now we have multiple items being sold by multiple people at the same ridiculous price.  Starting to see how things can become scary in this situation?

Personally, I remember purchasing a so-called “unique marketing training” tele-seminar for $500 about 4 – 5 years ago to see what all the ranting and raving was about.  After listening to the seminar, I remembered thinking- “This was good…but worth $500?  Not a chance.”  Without the “opportunity” to resell the course for commissions, I doubt there would have even been a business.  I was even further disappointed when I discovered that I could have learned the exact same marketing principles discussed in the $500 tele-seminar through FREE materials offered by a different MLM training group.

To make a long story somewhat short, be very careful with this one!  Just for a little comparison from my point of view:  My team recently hosted a one hour online marketing training tele-seminar (free to all our members) that walked all attendees through a step by step process of effective article writing, blogging, and SEO benefits.  I sat in as a “participant,” (I was NOT a presenter, so don’t think I’m bragging about my own work here!  :D ) and can honestly say that the free training offered that day was more exciting and more valuable than the $500 course I bought.

— — —

Within the structure of the older MLM companies, excessive pushing of training materials could turn into an illegal MLM tools business, and FTC actually considered some of them “side (2nd business) scams.”  Today, within the realm of internet promotions, MLM leaders can associate themselves with a vast number of different “side programs;” therefore, distinguishing major internet “tool pushers” isn’t always as easy.

Some readers may think back to a common saying- “You get what you pay for.”  In some cases, that is very true.  However, I don’t believe that MLM team members should be forced to pay an arm or a leg for leadership and marketing training.

A true leader should recognize the potential of effectively training his entire team.  If you put the team before your desire for some additional “quick cash,” your organization will grow and you will reap the rewards for supplying them with proper training, while allowing them to keep any obnoxious, unnecessary fees that may have been associated with ancient “tools,” affiliate pushing, and high-ticket items.

If you have a team that is constantly growing, why should you need to worry about making “extra money” through tool or affiliate commissions?  Keep your team happy.  Keep developing them into leaders that focus on helping others, instead of helping themselves to “side profits.”

As a member of EIRO Research Leadership, I’m seeing a lot of leaders that are willing to spend extensive periods of time working with people 1 on 1, supplying free training, and offering assistance without promoting “everything under the sun.”  It’s encouraging to watch the EIRO Research company grow in this way, and I believe that the continuation of this team training model is what will define our success in the end.
